Information for Newcomers
Fill in the Liability Release Form and bring it with you for your first class. Let the instructor know if you have any sprains or chronicle conditions to help us manage your training accordingly and avoid potential injuries.Please also read thoroughly the Code of Conduct for students established in Capoeira Mandinga school. This document is for your information and guidance on expectations in class. Welcome to capoeira!
Newcomers are asked to wear stretchy pants and a shirt (no shorts or tank tops, please). Capoeira Mandinga uniform should be obtained within the first month of classes. Please, take off your street shoes and sign in before stepping into the class.
Capoeira Uniform
You may request the uniform anytime from your instructor. Please refer to the actual measurements provided. All the information on this page is for your reference only.
Capoeira uniform may be called "abadá" referring to the pants worn by capoeristas and shirts sold in some carnivals or theatrical productions, which allow or complement admission to the event. Original abadás were white. In Brazil, abadá is a kind of white tunic worn by for prayer by African Muslims, malês, that were brought to Bahia to work as slaves. Abada was also the working cloth of port workers in Brazil.Login Form
